Roles and responsibilities

  • Owning the vision, feature roadmap and evolution plan based on a thorough understanding of customer needs, The Smart Cube’s sales goals and capabilities, as well as competitor dynamics; in this regard, you will need to:
  • Have a clear view of what problem(s) the product solves and what our value proposition and differentiation needs to be
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on customer needs and competition
  • Review the full spectrum of product-specific digital/offline assets, data partnerships, content coverage, etc. from time to time, to decide what needs to be developed further or discontinued
  • Gathering and maintaining a wish list through active solicitation of ideas and requirements from across the business (Sales, Solutions, Operations, Marketing and Technology/Engineering teams), and through direct interactions with customers
  • Converting the wish list into a roadmap for content updates/additions and tech feature development by brainstorming with the relevant teams to evaluate feasibility and relevance to customer
  • Maintaining a prioritised roadmap based on inputs from cross-functional stakeholders
  • Managing stakeholder (customer success team, sales team, Amplifi PRO Board) expectations in terms of what is possible at present vs what will be available in the future through regular communication and engagement sessions
  • Working with the business analyst (BA) to convert tech features into requirements and user stories. Reviewing the requirements and user stories drafted by the BA
  • Working with the project manager (from Technology/Engineering) and the BA to allocate stories to sprints, based on the agreed roadmap
  • Addressing queries from the Technology/Engineering team during active sprints
  • Working with the UI design team to finalise the UI and ensuring that the development team is aligned through storytelling sessions
  • Conducting user acceptance testing (post QA and before release) and providing sign-off for release
  • Liaising with the Technology/Engineering project manager and Content delivery manager to ensure features are released in time keeping in mind the roadmap and any client commitments
  • Creating non-technical documents and presentations to describe the product  to sales and other business readers
  • Conducting walkthrough sessions with the sales team and prospective clients, where needed
  • Promptly addressing queries from the sales team
  • Identify potential partners that can enhance the product value proposition for the end customer
  • Review and report on the product performance based on agreed metrics (revenue, number of customers/users, market penetration, margin, customer feedback, etc. ) to inform future decisions
  • Support articulation of the go to market strategy and external messaging through collaboration with sales and marketing teams. Work with the Marketing team to develop customer-ready materials that articulate the product proposition
  • Be accountable for ongoing management of the product and work with the CSO to ensure it’s aligned to the overall company strategy
  • Be the voice of the customer at The Smart Cube

Ideal Candidate 

  • Experience in product management and agile methodologies essential
  • Robust understanding of procurement and sourcing function strongly preferred
  • Full time MBA from a Tier 1 B-School is preferred
  • Experience in building a commercially successful B2B SAAS Software Product is preferred
  • Understanding of procurement and sourcing tools (such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, IBM, other spend management software) strongly preferred
  • Passionate about delighting customers through strong value propositions and experience
  • Superior problem solving abilities and strong analytical thinking
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence all levels within an organisation
  • Ability to structure and manage workstreams for self and small groups
  • Mature individual with a professional work ethic, and focus on delivering to timelines
  • Strategic thinker who can plan 2-3 steps ahead and surface hidden risks 2-3 levels deep
  • Desire to work in a fast paced, hands-on work environment
  • Motivated, fast thinking, dynamic person with strong business acumen
  • Highly organised and attentive to detail
