Roles and responsibilities
Being a part of the team working on various spend analysis projects aiding strategic decision making for Fortune 500 / FTSE 100 companies, Blue Chip Consulting Firms and Global Financial Services companies
Translating client objectives and challenges to value-driven deliverables
Determine methodologies, project plan, deliverable structure for every client project
Adding value to every client deliverable through innovative thinking, application of various procurement concepts and having a wider view of client’s problem statement
Interact with stakeholders, from multiple geographies, and holding senior management roles, including CPOs, Category managers, COE heads, etc.
Manage a team of 3-6 people on multiple or a single projects; ability to manage medium to high complexity projects
Have an innovative and transformation mindset to identify improvements and bring in efficiencies to existing processes and an eye for identifying automation/process improvement opportunities
Providing recommendations to clients via right category sourcing strategies, in order to achieve spend savings
Conduct a tight analysis and strong sanity and logical checks on client’s data and reports submitted by project team analysts
Act as an extension of client project team and supporting them with multiple data challenges; acting as a Subject Matter Expert on all procurement topics
Create a strong client relationship and manage expectation while having good negotiation skills
Work on projects across industries and categories
Able to manage internal projects for driving innovation and asset creation
Being able to use tools such as VBA/Python/R/Excel to aid machine learning and increase automation, in order to support various steps involved in delivering a robust spend analysis solution
Conduct sanity and logical checks on data and understanding business models of various public, private and not-for-profit companies, by conducting exhaustive research on company websites and other sources of company specific information
