Roles and responsibilities
- The Product Manager is responsible for ensuring that the development of our embedded
- product and associated assets is executed in a timely and effective manner as per the
- roadmap created by the Solution Owner. This includes:
- Developing the vision, feature roadmap and evolution plan for Smart Risk and
- associated assets under the guidance of the Solution Owner
- Gathering and maintaining a wish list through active solicitation of ideas and
- requirements from sales team, client delivery teams and other senior stakeholders in
- the business
- Converting the wish list into tech features by brainstorming with the
- technology/engineering team to evaluate feasibility and relevance of proposed features
- Maintaining a prioritized roadmap of features for Smart Risk and for assets based on
- inputs from cross-functional stakeholders
- Managing stakeholder (client delivery teams, sales team, Executive team) expectations
- in terms of what is possible at present vs what will be available in the future through
- regular communication and engagement sessions
- Working with the business analyst (BA) to convert features into requirements and user
- stories for the technical team
- o Reviewing the requirements and user stories drafted by the BA
- Working with the project manager (from engineering) and the BA to allocate stories to
- sprints, based on the agreed roadmap
- Addressing queries from the engineering team during active sprints
- Working with the design team to finalise the UI and ensuring that the development team
- is aligned through storytelling sessions
- Conducting user acceptance testing (post QA and before release) and providing sign-
- off for release
- Liaising with the project manager to ensure features and assets are released in time
- keeping in mind the roadmap and client commitments
- Acting as a business partner between engineering and the client delivery teams to
- facilitate delivery of the risk solution based on the feature stack available
- Includes managing expectations of both parties and ensuring each party is clear
- on their respective roles
- Creating non-technical documents and presentations to support sales and other
- business readers (including clients/prospects)
- Conducting walkthrough sessions with sales team and prospective clients, where
- needed
- Promptly addressing queries from the sales team
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in product management and agile methodologies essential
- Knowledge of the procurement function and/or third party risk management preferred
- Superior problem solving abilities and strong analytical thinking
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence all levels within an organisation
- Ability to structure and manage workstreams for self and small groups
- Mature individual with a professional work ethic, and focus on delivering to timelines
- Strategic thinker who can plan 2-3 steps ahead and surface hidden risks 2-3 levels deep
- Desire to work in a fast paced, hands-on work environment
- Motivated, fast thinking, dynamic person with strong business acumen
