Assistant Manager / Manager - Presales Analytics

Overview


As a Pre-sales manager (Analytics) at The Smart Cube, the candidate will be a key member of the team that:


  • Prepares right solutions for client problems by conducting right scoping and formulating relevant analytics solutions
  • Designs and develops compelling proposals and RFP bid responses explaining the overall approach, proposed project/engagement team structure, commercials, etc. to deliver the project
  • Helps articulate The Smart Cube credibility and capability across sectors and functions by sharing the right client pitch material

This and will require the candidate to be alert to business realities in global markets while being equally well-versed with the firm’s capabilities across analytics function. The candidate can look forward to a very healthy growth path as the company is one of the fastest emerging in this space and this function, an important backbone.

This role enables the candidate to develop and enhance various noteworthy capabilities and skills including complete understanding of project lifecycle, sales lifecycle and stakeholder management, and fast-tracks learning across sectors and analytics function.


Roles and responsibilities


  • Understand market dynamics, including client requirements, business models, key players, competition and our value proposition across segments
  • Understand business problems across industries, analyse client’s business requirements, and develop customised analytics proposals covering project objectives, implementation approach and solution details, execution plan and commercials
  • Take complete ownership of the proposal and work with technical solution teams (Advanced Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Science, Digital Analytics, Data Visualisation, etc.) to help develop sound proposals/client pitches that address clients’ problems across analytics requirements; convey the solution design through a compelling visual narrative
  • Independent in all aspects related to decision-making, including asking the right questions to technical solution teams/clients/salespersons to build the optimal solution
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders (including independently liaising with all internal stakeholders and technical solution teams)
  • Ensure that the proposals and business development support material is current, complete, and complies with proposals/RFP standards; also ensure that the proposal conveys our value proposition and capabilities in an accurate and best possible manner
  • Can work on short turnaround proposals and ensures all internal and external client timelines are met
  • Follows all organisational policies and values in spirit

 

Required Experience & Skills:


  • Master’s Degree in Data Analytics or any quantitative domain
  • 4–10 years of experience in pre-sales & solutions across data analytics/ modelling, data engineering, data science (AI/ML) and data visualisation (BI)
  • Hands-on experience on data mining tools (R, Python, etc.), cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.), visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.), and AI/ML/NLP will be preferred
  • Strong understanding of business in general and in-depth understanding of business functions such as Commercial, Sales and Marketing analytics
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the comfort and confidence of dealing with VP+ level executives in the US and Europe (internal and external stakeholders) to convince them on expected business benefits and pricing model
  • Strong business analysis/consulting skills and ability to don the ‘solution hat’ and look at the big picture
  • Ability to navigate through complexity and ambiguity, and convey the solution through a compelling story
